Welcome to your new life in Australia! Now you want to meet Australians and speak English all the time, but where is an Australian who will talk to you? Making friends in Australia can be difficult, especially if you are worried about your English. At ashgrove, we want to assist international students during their stay in Australia.

abc International gives students - and other people who want to improve their English - the opportunity to speak English in a fun and friendly environment.

There are social events like barbeques (BBQs) or sporting activities once a month. On the 1st Sunday of every month there is an English Conversation Club before the evening service. This includes a meal, and transportation to your home after church! Small groups of students, usually with 1 leader, have English conversation reading and writing classes during the week. A Grammar class is run every Wednesday afternoon at the Brisbane City Council Library.

ashgrove also has some accommodation in a home-stay environment. Unfortunately numbers are limited, but please ask if you are interested.
