**DADS ON THE BIG SCREEN
We are collecting photographs for a celebration of dads@ ashgrove this fathers' day--Sunday 5 September.
Do you have a photograph of you with your dad? Or perhaps a photograph of you with your kids?
Send your digital (or scanned) photograph to communications@ashgrove.org.au or pop into the church office with your photograph and we can scan it for you (we'd be happy to email you the copy so you have it for your records, too). Please include the names of the dad and children who appear in the photograph in your email.
Some examples:
• Lizzy Cripps could send us a photo of her and her Dad.
• Stewart Beveridge could send us a photo of him and his Dad plus a photo of him and his kids.
Photographs need to be submitted by Thursday 2 September to be included.
Make sure you are early to the 10am and 6.30pm worship gatherings on Sunday 5 September to see your smiling faces on the big screen!
**MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Make a difference this fathers’ day beyond your own dad. Within the Salvation Army Bridge Program (based at Red Hill), there are dads that we would love to bless this Fathers’ Day!
The Salvation Army Bridge Program works with 76 men in a residential recovery program. It’s abstinence-based: the aim is to achieve abstinence from drugs, alcohol, and gambling. And it’s a spiritual program: they look not only at the physical side of addiction, but also the underlying spiritual and emotional aspects.
So that we can put together a pack for each person in this program, we are asking everyone to bring one or more items on the shopping list to contribute to these gifts.
Drop your items off at the 10am + 6.30pm worship gatherings on Fathers’ Day (Sunday 5 September). Our team of helpers will be ready to receive and package your gifts.
