Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Date: 23 October 2011
Christmas is quickly approaching, and now is the time to consider giving a simple gift...
Operation Christmas Child is a unique project of Samaritan’s Purse that brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes. Every year, generous people across the world lovingly pack shoe boxes with gifts – simple, yet powerful messages of God’s unconditional love.
And when a child opens a shoe box, they’re opening more than a present lovingly prepared just for them. As each shoe box gift is delivered, it is treasured by the child that receives it, and is a lasting reminder that he or she is precious to God.
Boxes and more information are available in the church or speak to Jo Sweetman, or visit Operation Christmas Child
The last day for ashgrove boxes is 23 October.
Whose life will your shoe box change this year?
