Crafty Ladies
This week we catch up with Kerrie Bird to learn more about what it takes to be a crafty lady...
Creative craft is an opportunity for the women of ashgrove and the greater community to meet together to be inspired, instructed and motivated in their creative pursuits, and to share stories and spiritually encourage each other.
Who is craft for?
Anyone can come but it's generally ladies who are interested in creating lovely things with wool, cloth, cotton, beads etc.
What happens at craft?
While flexing our creative muscles, we also enjoy spending time together developing relationships and sharing our highs and lows together. We bring God into our meetings through sharing and prayer.
When is it on?
Thursday 9.30am-11.30am at ashgrove.
Do you bring your own craft?
Everyone brings what they are working on and we are often inspired by what others share. Many women work on knitting squares for 'love wraps' which are given to the needy.
How long have you been leading it?
Carol Macpherson and I have shared the leadership. I have been there for the past 5 years or so.

What the crafty ladies have to say...
The ladies are great company. We have a laugh and talk a lot. We all enjoy morning tea too.
Craft involves friendship and lovely morning teas. Plus learning lots of different crafts
We share new ideas, share patterns, good company.
Companionship, friendship, creativity
Lovely lot of ladies, lots of laughs. It's all very pleasant.
I like the close friendship of the group, and the caring for each other.
