Throughout 2010, elevate has been the worship team's opportunity to train, learn, and grow together.
Over 75 people serve in the team as data operators, sound technicians, musicians, vocalists, band leaders, and worship leaders. We are spoilt; but it's out of this richness that the team is committed to growing our heart for worship and the gifts and talents God has given us.
elevate has taken different forms throughout the year:
- A team-wide day of teaching and equipping in May. Biblical input on worship from Louie Giglio (via DVD) + new song workshops+ a panel on the shape of corporate worship + breakouts for sound and data teams + great food.
- Nights of prayer and honing our skills.
- A dedicated worship vocals workshop for worship leaders and vocalists with guest presenter Daniel Kay. We loved being able to welcome team members from Bridgeman Downs Christian City Church, New Hope Brisbane, Keperra Baptist Church, and North-East Baptist Church.
- An upcoming workshop especially for drummers.

What the team says...
'Thanks for a great day. It was good to hear from many different voices, and hear from them as a group. It was a good balance of teaching and doing, the practical and the theoretical.'
'It is so encouraging seeing so many who are interested in being authentic and there was much to learn today for all of us.'
'[The teaching] reaffirmed and captured a greater depth and understanding of worship.'
[The Elders commissioned and prayed for the team at the May event] 'Incorporation of the elders and the support from them is something that I valued a great deal! Knowing they support the development of worship in our services is encouraging and empowering!'
'[We] both really enjoyed it and learnt lots to chew over for a while.'
'Content was stimulating and thought-provoking ...!'
'Thank you so much for inviting us to the vocal seminar on the weekend. We were all very blessed to have the opportunity to be invited into your church home to learn from Daniel. It was an informative time where we learned how to better care for the voices God has given us.'
