That was Red Letter Day...THIS.IS.LOVE

Last year we launched easter@ashgrove. It was a night full of artwork, entertainment, worship and more. With easter@ashgrove 2011 getting closer, we decided to have a look at a few of the highlights from last year.

Walking through the doors of the auditorium was not like any old Sunday. The back of the auditorium was now an art gallery, with art entries hanging from black dividers, from walls and even from the ceiling. Everywhere one looked you could see Red Letter Day. Red Letter Days are those that have special significance. Music from two live bands added to the ambience of the evening, as ashgrovers and new people from the community enoyed the artwork and atmosphere. 

When the house lights went down, People's Choice votes were hastily shoved in the voting box, before seats were taken and the real fun began. The worship, testimonies, drama performances and message made for a night that impacted lives, as we celebrated what Red Letter Day was all about. Jesus.  

The evening ended with the announcement of the winners, including the People's Choice Award, more music from the bands and a chance to have a closer look at the artwork while enjoying barista coffee and nibbles.
