WANTED
This week we catch up with Ange Harth to hear about the plans for 2011 Rainbow Beach Mission, and what the team are urgently praying for.
Mission has been happening at Rainbow Beach for 35 years, striving to make a difference in the community by running a holiday program for children and young people.
I have had the privilege of loving and serving this coastal community through this mission for the last five years. I first became involved in Community Outreach at Rainbow Beach in 2006 as a team member, and then the following year became Team Leader. After being there for two years, I had great passion in my heart for the community of Rainbow Beach and for young lives there to be changed for Christ, so when it looked like Mission almost wouldn't happen, I felt God calling me to the Director role.
My as role Director over the last three years has been an amazing experience. God has pushed me to my limits, grown me in my spiritual journey with Him, and I've had the privilege of witnessing groups of passionate people working together to bring fragile lives into His love and His Kingdom. Not to mention the many memories, friendships and lives that have been impacted for God!

The whole purpose of having a team at Rainbow Beach is to build sustainable relationships with the community, through service, example, and sharing the love and gospel of Christ - letting them know that they can share an eternal relationship with Him. Being a Director has allowed me to see that vision lived out year after year, and although it involves a lot of preparation and planning, when December comes you get to sit back and watch God do His work for His glory, changing lives in a struggling community...what a privilege!
WANTED: One passionate, female committed to serving, loving, and leading, to make an impact in a community that needs Jesus!
So now we come to Mission plans for 2011... I am stepping down from the Director role, being called by God to something else. We already have a male Director and supportive leadership team onboard, and we are praying that God will call and bring forth a female willing to lead. (Scripture Union requires both male and female Directors for all Community Outreach Events)
So the call is out for a female Director to lead the mission now and into the future, so lives can continue to be impacted for Christ...
As it is already September and plans are underway for Mission this year, we are hoping to have expressions of interest by mid October for this challenging, yet rewarding role! Please contact myself (Ange Harth - 0401 339 967 or angela.harth@gmail.com) or Stewart Beveridge for a chat about how you can make a difference to lives in the community of Rainbow Beach.
